THE INCA TRAIL
4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS
The Inca civilization, were great builders with the ability to integrate the most astonishing network in ancient Latin America; almost 22,000 kilometers of Inca roads, many of which are still in use today.
Our adventure will take us through breathtaking mountains and amazing valleys, passing quaint villages until we reach the awesome citadel of Machu Picchu.

FIRST DAY
Pick up from the hotel at 4:30 a.m. and transfer to Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley, where we will stop for approximately 45 minutes to pick up the Porters and the equipment. We will have time to visit the surroundings of Ollantaytambo, before making our way to kilometer 82, where we will begin our trek. We will start at a slow pace, and very soon we will stop at our first archaeological complex Llactapata at kilometer 88 (2,550 m above sea level). We have 30 minutes to visit this archaeological complex, before continuing our walk to Wayllabama for our first camping.

SECOND DAY
After breakfast we will begin our walk through the valley of Wayllabamba. Through our journey we will be able to observe the nature and ecological change of the area until we arrive to Yunaca Chipana. We will start our climb from Wayllabamba to Llulluchapampa at 3750 m. From this point we will be able to see the valley of Huayanay and the first pass located at 4,200 m. (Warmiwañusca), also called dead woman. We will camp in the sector of Pacaymayo.

THIRD DAY
Breakfast. On this day we will ascend to Runkurakay at 3860 m. Our walk will be two hours more than the previous days. We will be able to visit another small complex, Sayamarca and appreciate the Valleys and snow capped mountains. Further on we will stop to visit the complex of Phuyupatamarca, and then descend 3kilometers until we arrive to a place called Wiñaywayna where we will camp.

FOURTH DAY
Early morning breakfast. Then, we will walk to Intipunco (Sun Gate) where we will be able to observe the impressive Lost Citadel of Machu Picchu. Guided visit of Machu Picchu for 1.5 hours. At a suitable time, we will walk down to the Station and take the return train to Cusco. Reception in Cusco and transfer to the Hotel.

EXTENSION ( Additional Program)/ SECOND DAY IN MACHU PICCHU
Excellent opportunity for an early wake up to observe a wonderful sunrise in Machu Picchu.
Enjoy a second visit ( as a free day, no Guide included) of the ruins.. You will also be able to climb the mountain of Huayna Picchu, and enjoy a fantastic view of Urubamba Valley. Later in the afternoon, we will return to Cusco and be transferred to the hotel.
THE MOLLEPATA REGION
The Vilcanota mountain range is a spectacular chain, and is located between two great rivers of the region, the Urubamba and the Apurimac River.
Snow-capped Salkantay Mountain is located on the Eastern end of the Vilcanota chain and reaches an elevation of 6.270 meters above sea level.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Whereas Mollepata is quite warm, hikers should be ready for an ascent, higher altitude and colder climate when getting to the mountain’s pass. Hikers should have spent at least 2 to 3 days acclimatizing to higher altitudes in the Cusco region prior to embarking on this trek.

Our adventure is short, the trek lasts approximately 6 hours. However, the road will take you through impressive landscapes, valleys and amazing cities of the Inca Empire.
Our team will provide great comfort so that you may enjoy the trek. Passengers will only carry their raincoat and camera.
